About Us

 

The tamiliyakkam.com was founded in 27 March 2006 by Mr.Gunalan Paranjotii together with a group of students of National University of Malaysia (UKM) and some senior students namely Mr.Karunakaran, Mr.Anand, and Mr.Suresh.

 

Tamiliyakkam's main objective is to organize, inspire and mobilize the Tamil community in order to develop self-esteem and self-reliance towards quality of life. Tamiliyakkam also formulated to promote it's members with an opportunity to have a great time through organizing social events and striving to make the time at universities more than just an academic pursuit.

 

Apart from that, Tamiliyakkam also concern to preserve, promote and propagate of Tamil Language and culture by developing among Tamils an understanding of the Tamil way of life and the  essence of Tamil philosophy and values; to promote an awareness of the rich legacy of the Tamil Language available in the form of philosophical and devotional literature and expose the Tamil community to the Tamil culture ethos so that it may imbibe the best tradition and practices.

Our Objectives

  • To promote it's members mainly the undergraduates from various universities and colleges with an opportunity to have a great time through organizing social events and striving to make the time at universities more than    just an academic pursuit.

  • To promote an awareness of the rich legacy of the Tamil Language available in the form of philosophical and devotional literature and expose the Tamil community to the Tamil culture ethos so that it may imbibe the best tradition and practices.
